Hi Folks,

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails programmer (or an accomplished PHP/
Python/Something else programmer who wants to make the switch) to join
us and help make our Gov 2.0 software more awesome.

We are looking for someone who is confident building for the web and
does not need much hand-holding. Different people grow at a different
pace, so we can't tell you exactly how many years of experience are
required; but you should be able to learn new tricks, come up with
solutions to problems and make your own decisions.

About Us:
Bang The Table is an Australian company headquartered in Melbourne,
with teams in Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide and beautiful Kerala. We
have lots of government clients, and lots of ideas. We have been
around for 3 years, past the initial startup chaos and settling down
into a good rhythm now (we think!). More about us at http://bangthetable.com.

We have a small development team - 3 in Kerala and 2 in Sydney. Our
process is agile and uses techniques borrowed from Kanban and Scrum.
We are pretty relaxed as a team, and supportive of each other.

Job Location:
You can work from home. Yes, you read that right!

What we will pay:
We know that progress is important, so we will try to pay more than
your previous job.

How long:
We are looking to establish a long term relationship. To start with,
we prefer to work together for a trial period to test the mutual fit
(one month is ideal but not compulsory).

How to apply:
Send me a CV to karthik at bang the table dot com. The CV does not
need pretty formatting or a lot of text and doesn't even need to be in
MS Word. What it does need though is the following information -

a. Name, contact details, age etc
b. Education
c. Employment history
d. Technical knowledge or Github account
e. General interests and anything else you'd like us to know

If you need more info, drop me a line.

Thanks,

Karthik
