Mint is what I use, its super easy and you'll soon get comfortable with it if you're a Windows user. The layout is somewhat like a Windows OS. Plus, with Mint, you have all the necessary packages, codecs and plugins to perform basic tasks. Mint also has several GUI based packages out of the box.
