Dear friends, I am just a new member of this group. Would appreciate advice from any of u. Since I am a doctor( ENT in a private hospital in Trivandrum ) , I am not too familiar with free software .. Just bought a new Nokia N 900 phone based on Maemo ( Linux ) and after I got a first hand experience , I fell in love with the OS. My Samsung Omnia phone is based on Symbian and keeps crashing every now and then.So I have decided not to depend on Windows and completely shift over to free software .
So now I want to buy a netbook or tablet but based on Linux/Android / any free software . Any suggestions which netbook/tablet to buy.( I have a laptop(HP ) for my regular use . Is it enough if I get one with DOS and how easy/ difficult it is to install Android Honeycomb ? I may sound like wierd since I am not too familiar with these but I really wish to learn from this forum. Also suggestions whether I can buy the netbook from Bangkok where it may be cheaper but there is always a service issue if I buy abroad . If my email doesnt fit into your forum goals, please inform me and I will refrain from writing . Regards DR KG Mathew . ENT , KIMS , Trivandrum Dr KG Mathew -- "Freedom is the only law".
