Assuming, you correctly put it in .bashrc file, whenever you start a new
session for your interactive shell, it will load the PATH from this file and
let you execute it. You may have to logout and login once for this change to
take effect. Or if you are one of the impatient kinds, you can do a

source .bashrc

to have the immediate effect.
