May be one can convert (command line) pdf to text using 'pdftotext x.pdf'. Rename the resulting text file (say x or x.txt to x.csv (csv stands for comma separated values) and then open the file in openoffice/libreoffice. One can define what is the field separator (eg. space, tab, comma) used in the pdf to indicate end of field. best/harish
