@All - I had to get the script working for a friend of mine and hence was able to spend some time on this script again. The script should be back in working condition now.

One is that it waits for an ntpdate delay as well as an asianet connection timeout delay before it attempts to connect. The ntpdate is so that the free download hours are handled safely. But I think that it can possibly be skipped for manual connection attempts.
