I quit facebook around 3 years back. I do miss many people who refuse to
move from facebook, but my privacy is not negotiable. I took the harder
path of helping create an alternative in diaspora. Eventually I'll bring
all my friends over to diaspora. Each of you have a choice, to wait for
others, or to lead. First choice is convenient and comfortable, second
choice is harder, and rewarding. Many people enjoy slavery, so you may
not want freedom.

If you have seen the movie matrix
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Matrix), you know there are people
like Cypher who want to go back to the matrix even after seeing the
truth. So if you enjoy facebook, continue using it. And those who are on
diaspora and miss the juicy chicken and don't like the protein diet, you
can also go back.
