hi vineeth, I saw a similar issue stated in this forum:: http://superuser.com/questions/309153/ubuntu-box-keeps-dropping-wired-network-connection So try to set eth0 to dhcp in the interfaces config, and now, after reboot, the machine should keep its network connection.
