Hi, I am thinking about migration of all our data to amazon S3, which is more cost effective and redundant. I got some weired idea on mounting S3 bucket as dovecot Maildir. I don't know that somebody tried it or not. But just want to know if it will work.
Once we mounted a remote sshfs storage as dovecot Maldir and it was working fine. But sometimes sshfs will automatically disconnected due to the INTERNET problem and dovecot will stops working. SO we have to remount the storage and restart the dovecot. But I did'nt try this for S3. Now I'm testing the s3fs mount for 3-4 days to know whether there is any connections issues. If you have any previous experience, ideas or knowledge please share it here. Thank You. N B: Is there any way to store dovecot mails in some database format. -- -- "Freedom is the only law".
