അഭീ, ഓപ്പറേറ്റിങ്ങ് സിസ്റ്റം ഏതാണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞില്ലല്ലോ, അതിനാൽ ഒരു ജനറൽ ഉത്തരം പറയാം. i3 എന്നത് ഒരു വിൻഡോ മാനേജറാണ്. അതിന് ഇൻപുട്ട് മെഥേഡുമായി ബന്ധമൊന്നുമില്ല. ഗ്നു/ലിനക്സ് ഓപ്പറേറ്റിങ്ങ് സിസ്റ്റങ്ങളിൽ ibus, fcitx എന്നിങ്ങനെ സാധാരണ എല്ലാരും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഇൻപുട്ട് ടൂളുകളുണ്ട്. ഉബുണ്ടുവിലൊക്കെ സ്വതേ വരുന്നത് ibus ആണ്. ഐബസിൽ ഇൻസ്ക്രിപ്റ്റ് ക്രമീകരിക്കാൻ താഴെ പറയുന്നത് ചെയ്താൽ മതി 1. m17n-db, ibus, ibus-m17n, ibus-gtk, ibus-gtk3 എന്നീ പാക്കേജുകൾ ഇൻസ്റ്റാൾ ചെയ്യുക 2. ibus-setup എന്ന ആജ്ഞ പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിക്കുക. അപ്പോൾ ഐബസ് കോൺഫിഗർ ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഒരു ജാലകം വരും. (ഇൻപുട്ട് മെഥേഡുകൾ മാറ്റാനുള്ള കീബോർഡ് ഷോർട്ട്കട്ട് ഏതാണെന്നും ഇവിടെ കാണാം) 3. അവിടെ നിന്ന് ആവശ്യമുള്ള ഇൻപുട്ട് മെത്തേഡ് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് ചേർക്കുക 4. ലോഗൗട്ട്/ലോഗിൻ ചെയ്യുക 5. ഇനി ഏതെങ്കിലും ടെക്സ്റ്റ് ബോക്സിൽ ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്തിട്ട് ഇൻപുട്ട് മെഥേഡ് മാറ്റാനുള്ള കീബോർഡ് ഷോർട്ട്കട്ട് അടിച്ചാൽ മതിയാകും.
