Thank you all.

I tried different ways. But it did not work. Reason: The Flash memory card
it got corrupted I guess. The card shows empty(without any files). But the
files got copied to my laptop. I  suspect the all-in-one-memory card
reader which I mentioned.

Anyway, learning for me from this is, I should straight away copy the
files from the camera itself. And should not remove the memory card out
and inserted into a usb-multi-memory card reader(which is also extra work
and tedious than the straight method of copying from camera).

I had never faced even a single glitch when I had been using sandisk SD
cards(1GB). I am facing this problem only with kingston SD card(1GB) for
the second time(first time simalar but different problem).

So, my mind starts going partial slowly towards Sandisk being considered
as a better one.
