Ihave been on some interview panel of 2 of the top 5 Indian IT service companies. These guys get millions of resumes a day. The size of the company is also so big that there has to be a minimum set of standards to prevent mal-practice. So, the qualification becomes a filtration criteria. People will be selected if and only if they show the correct aptitude, teamwork capabilities, etc... Depends on the person who is interview. But still its not 100% fool proof.
