I have a hunch that if you don't give the user name, ssh automagically substitutes the remote user id as the one with which you currently logged in. Can anyone confirm this? So going by that logic, you are trying to login from "student" user account in your college. Subsequently ssh tries to login as $ ssh [EMAIL PROTECTED] which i am sure doesn't exist Regards Sudharshan S Blog : http://www.sudharsh.wordpress.com IRC : Sup3rkiddo @ freenode, gimpnet _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
