If you compiled from source, there is no clean way to uninstall it. It won't disturb the package manager. The package manager just wouldn't be aware of it. It you are building a custom kernel, I recommend creating a package to do it. Refer

In many cases though, building a custom kernel is unnecessary for end users. A module might do the job as well.
