It seems your NIC is Realtek-8168 and not regular Realtek-8169. RHEL-5 doesn't seems to support 8168 ID. To check whether your NIC is supported by RHEL-5, attach the output of the following commands to help you further. 1. lspci -n 2. modinfo r8169 S.
