>> Is it the power of Linux under GPL? >> or >> All released Linux distros is not satisfy the users?
Hi ! Every user requirement is different. I do not think 200 is the correct figure .I am sure that there are much more than that. Depends on what you mean by distro also. I needed a " ROMable with no writes but not an embedded" kind of linux for low cost PCs. I tried so many distros and still have about 60 or so Iso cds. Finally I had to make a custom Debian distro with professional help. Now "Netbooks" are coming with Linux and the whole scene is changing. One-size-fits-all concept ( lIke XP) is gone now. And each is a custom designed Linux distro with specially designed user interface and matching the hardware just like your cell phone or PDA. Even Mainstream distros have a Netbook or UMPC version. Eg Mandriva and Xandros netbook version. There is no exclusivity here ! It is the power of open source which is used to match the user ( or Market) requirements.
