Hi !

Every user requirement is different. I do not think 200 is the correct
figure .I am sure that there are much more than that. Depends on what
you mean by distro also.

I  needed a " ROMable  with no writes  but not an embedded" kind of
linux for low cost PCs. I tried so many distros and still have about
60 or so Iso cds.Finally I had to make a custom Debian distro with
professional help.

Now "Netbooks" are coming with Linux and the whole scene is changing.
One-size-fits-all concept ( lIke XP) is gone now. And each is a custom
designed Linux distro with specially designed user interface and
matching the hardware just like your cell phone or PDA.

Even Mainstream distros have a Netbook or UMPC version. Eg Mandriva
and Xandros netbook version.

There is no exclusivity here !

It is the power of open source which is used to match the user ( or
Market) requirements.
