You have raised some interesting questions. This is a phenomena that happens in all industry/country. We have to re-engineer our skill sets to match the needs of the time. I worked for a major Telecom manufacturer (11+ years) but saw the writing on the wall when nascent companies like Cisco challenged the incumbents. I changed my field to IT (self taught) and discovered Linux/FOSS in my quest to get an Unix like system. Most adjust and a few do not. Those who adjust come out much stronger from the adversity they face. Many of my engineer friends (in the US) have moved on to completely different fields because their jobs went to other countries and they are doing quite well. -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
