Hi,
If u r HDD is NTFS use this link
mount /dev/hda1 /media/hdd/ -t ntfs -o nls=utf8,umask=0222
otherwise,
when u r trying to mount ur HDD,Ubuntu tells one answer ,
that window has the same line to mount HDD.
Just Try it
