Hi all,
I am using Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 .I have the following kernel
installed in the machine 2.6.9-5.ELsmp i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux.I tried
installing fuse in turn to use sshfs. Now i tried installing fuse from source
everything went smoothly and fuse got installed successfully.
But when i tried to do a $modprobe fuse i get this following error

FATAL: Error inserting fuse
(/lib/modules/2.6.9-5.ELsmp/kernel/fs/fuse/fuse.ko): Invalid module format.

Now this is what i obtained from the dmesg output:

Fuse:version magic'2.6.9-5.ELsmp SMP preempt 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4'
should be '2.6.9-5.ELsmp SMP 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4'

Thus the fuse version magic is having an extra preempt out of no where.Has
anyone faced such issues while installing fuse .

cheers
Ashok
