I have a dual boot Kubuntu 8.04/Windows XP Pro machine and would like to
purchase a basic PCI (not PCI-Express) add-in sound card. The
applications that I plan to use are Sightspeed video conference, Skype
audio chat, and listening to music (2.1 sound). The first two on
Windows, the last two on Linux.
Could you recommend a basic sound card that is available for purchase in
Chennai that will work on Windows and Linux? What kind of price should
I expect?
