Hello, Pablo Gastesi pointed out that there is an interview with Stallman in the recent Frontline:
http://www.frontline.in/stories/20090227260408500.htm It is good that Indian news magazines are giving some coverage to the FSF and its activities in India. However, I am disappointed with remarks like: Torvalds said he rejects GNU GPL Version 3 because he approves of tivoization, because he does not agree that users deserve the freedom to change their own copies of software. I don't think Torvalds ever said that users do not deserve the freedom to change their own copies of software. Unfortunately, FSF seems to be so unsure about its own strength that it tries to derive strength by putting words in people's mouth in order to take pot-shots at them. (No! Pointing out that Linus has sometimes done the same does *not* justify such behaviour). More later, Kapil. -- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
