Aren't we flaming over a trivial issue which primarily boils down to one person's ego? Requesting moderator(s) to step up and put this nonsense to an end.
I am not sure if moderators have sufficient bandwidth in their hands to moderate this group. If yes, then here is my suggestion : Setup a group of moderators, decided based on the vote by ILUGC members. Revise(read tighten) rules (again voted to approve) and ruthlessly follow them so we have a good sane discussion going on. For the person to nominate as moderator, he/she should have good knowledge of Open Source Software and it's philosophy. The moderator team could be a mix - some have good knowledge on BSD, Linux, yada yada... Atleast this would bring some diversity in the group. Moderators can swap, say in every six months, or to any exigency(any pressing issues in their work/home). Rules can be changed every three/six months or so. Any takers? -- Thanks, Read me back (RMB). _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
