Looks like fedora packaged a beta version :(
The best thing you can do is to start fresh by removing .mozilla directory
and installing firefox new
$cd
$rm -rf .mozilla
You will loose all your profile information and plugins :(
Anyways the current stable version is 3.0.7 . You can also try 3.1 beta 2 (
my choice as 3.1 has new features )
