Hi, If your motherboard has on-board Intel 845 graphics, you should refer launchpad bug #285250 <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/285250>. There is no way you can get a hardware accelerated desktop on newer versions of X.org. You should just use Ubuntu 8.04 if you want direct rendering. There are workarounds available in the comments on that bug. -- Regards, Roshan George <[email protected]> _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
