Hello, I am newbie to this user group. i got interested in this group after i met the group in chennai trade center for an open group seminar.
I am not sure this is the right forum, but please tell me if this is not the right forum for this. I am interested in developing applications based on a swarm of devices. I.e for example a Warehouse can be either developed using a central model of a database on a Server or we can also develop it using a decentralized with each small computer device with a flash memory representing a Warehouse bin but connected together to form the warehouse process. i believe the second option would lead to systems that are lower in price, accurate, real time and more reliable due to the decentralized way of working. This is just not limited to Warehouse, but can also be applied where there is any business which has distributed assets, like a utility, Health care, a transportation company etc. I am interested in forming a group which can pursue this and move it from the current idea on a paper to a prototype and eventually a very successful business if it leads there. if it does not reach a business, we can atleast have the satisfaction that we have attempted something radical. People interested can write to me personally or if you need more information i have more information on my blog http://www.servicefurnace.com/ I found this group very energetic and enterprising and hopefully we can all work together.
