git + son-of-sysreport, should give you everything you need here. the
performance stuff would need to be plumbed in, but there is almost
nothing out there that can really manage / monitor a machine state (
performance is a misleading concept ). The state monitoring systems are
complex enough that they normally come with a multimillion dollar price
tag - at which point, most people just define their own expectations and
use something like nagios or flapjack to monitor their own metrics
