Folks, A tragic event today, following the (unrelated) demise of Prof. Rajeev Motwani last week. A successful Linux developer committed suicide in Bangalore today - K.T.Ligesh, founder of LxLabs, a Linux virtual server company apparently killed himself after a security vulnerability was found in his flagship app (the two events may be unrelated).. There were apparently no financial difficulties - police say that his bank account had "crores". http://www.channelregister.co.uk/2009/06/09/lxlabs_funder_death/ The Lxlabs home page as well as the product lineup look very impressive, even by international standards. http://lxlabs.com/ The hypervisor manager (?) that they offer looks very polished, at least from the specs. Impressive work, coming from a 32-year old.. Tragic event, indeed - hits closer home than the events surrounding Hans Reiser a few years ago. -Siva ________________________________ It's so tragic. Virtually, it is too difficult to find a software without vulnerability. At his age of 32, he created a great virtualization platform. He could have done wonders in FOSS if he managed his emotional feelings. - Rajendhran Explore and discover exciting holidays and getaways with Yahoo!
