May be you could try more advanced torrent client like transmission
http://www.transmissionbt.com/ (tip you will have to compile it from source
as you are using fedora 7), and fedora 7 is EOLed (out dated and no longer
supported) you should consider updating to a latest release like fedora 10
or 11.
