Try adding username (yourphone number) and password( may be your name) , try
running 'wvdialconf' is it detecting your modem? If wvdialconf command is
not detecting your modem, try changing the "baud" manually (tip if the
connection speed is 230kbps then change it to 203400) , i  got problem
connecting  bsnl wll phone internet , but changed the baud in
/etc/wvdial.conf manually  and  now  its working :)
