You are grossly under estimating your own potential. In the present internet
era, You don't need a big foss organisation to learn/develop foss. What you
need is a community in your college, which anyway was flourishing sometime back
in your college. Just revive it. Your college has fantastic resources,
encouraging faculty (atleast that was how when visited few years back).
Apart from promition of FOSS, please have some target for the community - like
tce, madurai where college student info system is created and maintained by
students.
ILUGC is always willing to help by way of tutorials, workshops etc.
