Vamsee,

First of all I appreciate your call for a good debate on the price issue. In my opinion one should not compare apple to orange.

Perhaps our price is the cheapest on the earth as far as using the INDIAN DATACENTER is concerned. And we will match any price if you get a quote for the price what you are talking about from somewhere else.

There is a huge difference between OpenVZ/Virtuozzo and Parallels' virtuozzo . The earlier is free and have less features compared to the later which is commercial and license cost is about $10 per container on an avg. of 20 VEs on a hardware node.

Second the Bandwidth cost in India is at least 5-10 times costlier than any international providers.

Regarding the cost of manpower, you should not forget that most of the International providers who provide the same spec below $20 uses the same manpower what we use.

As you said less than $20 bucks , we offer a better VPS less than $20 bucks but at USA DC.

I would suggest have a price check before you come forward with debate.

At the same time the same VPS is provided by few providers below $5, the difference is the Hardware setup with respect to CPUs and RAID , RAM etc.

I hope I have clarified the difference between apple and orange.

Thanks for pointing out the timestamp . I will take care of that in future for sure. I am a new member so it will take time to know everything. Rome was not definitely built in a day.

Most international vps providers give the basic plan you're providing
(guaranteed 256MB RAM, virtuozzo/openvz) for not more than 20 USD tops.
That comes to around 1000 rupees. You're offering a comparable plan at
1400 rupees.

One would expect the rates to be competitive if not *cheaper* when
you're claiming the servers are hosted here (probably bandwidth would
be more expensive, but it should be offset by lesser
manpower/infrastructure costs, right?). Care to explain the difference?

Vamsee.
