All,

On behalf of ILUGC, we had done following workshops,

Session 1:

Topic: Workshop on LAMP (PHP, MySQL)

They were around 70 participants from the final and pre-final year students,
from the Department of Computer Application of Saveetha Engineering College.
The session had started with an introduction to the FOSS and to the LAMP.
Followed by the Hands on, which had given enough opportunity for the
participants to hack the MySQL and PHP. The workshop concluded with an CURD
application written with PHP and MySQL.

Prerequisite:
If the participants where done the following then it would have given them
the more fruitful result.

Before the participants attending any kind of workshop, they should do some
sort of ground works, In my case I had planned for the LAMP session, the
prerequisite for the LAMP is XHTML and JS, the participants were missing
bits and pieces of the HTML. So that I happened for me to spend some time to
brush it up.

This could be avoided from their end by doing some kind of home works by
preparing them selves for the workshop. It could give the ample time for us
to focus more on the core subjects of the workshop.

Conslusion: The overall the participants had enjoyed the session. Many
thanks for Mani, a final year student who had organized a good event in a
short span.

Session 2:

Title: FOSS Introductory

Resource: Mr. Raman and Myself.

College: Thirumalli College of Engineering, Kanhipuram.

Participants: from Final year CSE

The session was presented by Mr. Raman, he had started with FOSS
introduction, Exploring the Desktop & Desktop Applications. The same thing
had repeated for the second batch in the after noon.

Many, Many thanks to Mr. Raman who had readily accepted my invitation in
very short notice. If he had not accompanied me then I would be in soup.

Note: Their is an interesting which is left behind the scene, I believe if
he could narrate you that, it would be more appropriate.
