Hi friends, I read a article that Oracle Snatches Sun, Foiling IBM (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124022726514434703.html) and I don't think that anyone can own an open source project.
If the company loses the trust of these people, they can go away with the project and turn it the way they want to. After Oracle bought sun, what will be changed in MySQL? Monty mentioned about the following plans in his blog http://monty-says.blogspot.com/2009/04/to-be-free-or-not-to-be-free.html what will be the strengthen other opensource DBMS such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB and Drizzle? What about your opinions?
