VNC has a protocol -- de facto, if not de jure -- so it should work
across OS-es.

Swamynathan, the folks at work[1] had released SimpleVNC[2] some time
last month, it has ports for Windows and MacOS X ... so you might want
to work on a Linux port.  Plus you don't have to start from scratch.

We use it in a IM product we're making, but it's GPL-ed so you can do
as you please with it.
