The problem with audio blogging is that the audio files take a lot of disk space and bandwidth. The blog and comments itself takes very little resources and be hosted anywhere. Most cheap shared webhosting providers will blindly delete mp3 files thinking you are pirating music. If your content is under a Creative Commons license, you can use www.archive.org to host your audio. They provide unlimited space and bandwidth forever for free. Here's Brewster Kahle's very inspiring talk on his Internet Archive project and his goal on providing "Universal Access to all Knowledge": http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail400.html http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/audio/download/ITC.SDF-BrewsterKahle-2004.12.16.mp3 I'm in the process of moving 15GB of audio lectures for a the Internet Archive. Works very well and is highly recommended. - Raja _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
