On behalf of ILUGC myself, Arun SAG, Baskar - Linuxerpt System we
conducted one day LAMP workshop on 19th August, at Mepco Sivakasi for
the final year CSE and IT students. The session started with the
fundamental Web technology and we ended up exploring the PHP, Perl,
Python with MySQL. There are totally 120 participants from both the
classes including the CSE and the IT.
The content covered in the session are follows.
Introduction to FOSS/Scripting Languages/Web Technology
Introduction to MySQL/ SQL
PHP language Basics
Database Programming with PHP and MySQL,
The soup of web development, Authentication and Authorization
Python language basics
Perl language basics
Many special thanks to Arun SAG, Baskar for his support in setting up
the lab with the 60+ fedora boxes and assisting participants in the
hands on. I also like to thank the organiser Prof. Shenbagaraj from
Mepco for his support and hospitality. The response from the
participants were amazing.
Thanks for the Rahul Sundram for sending me the fedora DVD's which I
am distributing to the participants in various sessions.
