Hi All,

ILUGC is celebrating the SFD 2009 on Sat Sep 19th 2009 at Birla
Planetarium, Kotturpuram, Chennai. Demo Stalls, Tutorials and 
Live Installations are planned for the SFD:

Demo Stall:
==========

Each stall should take a theme and demo the FOSS tools belong to the
theme. Stalls should be open from 9AM to 6PM. Each stall should have
min of 2 and max of 5 volunteers. Stall can be managed by volunteers
from LUG/College. Students, due to some issue, if you are not in
position to represent your college, then join as ILUGC volunteer.

A. Max of 25 Demo Stalls.
B. Max of 2 per College.
C. They can choose the theme/we can suggest.
D. ILUGC will have upper-hand in deciding the theme.
E. MIT guys volunteered to setup 2 stalls (Multimedia, ?)

Tutorials (30mins):
==================

Tutorials (English and Tamil) on simple topics for general public,
like using OO, Browsing, Playing Audio/Video files, Chat, etc.

Live Installations:
==================

One session for the live installation demo of few distros (Debian, 
Fedora, Ubuntu).

COMPUTERS:
=========

1. You can bring your computer/laptop with power card and extn box. 
   (Preferred, In the previous LDDs, we use our own machine to 
    show the demo)
2. BP agreed to provide 10 computers. (As of now, we don't have any 
   info about this machine)

Demo Stall Volunteers:
=====================

Volunteers are needed to manage the demo stalls. If you are willing to
volunteer, then decide 2 or 3 themes (Multimedia Tools, Office Tools,
Internet Tools, Programming Tools, KDE, GNOME, ..) and mail it to the
list.

If needed, we can help to select a suitable theme. If more no of
volunteers are selecting a same theme then different theme will be
allocated to you from your alternative theme list.


Event Management:
================

Volunteer to manage the event (like power, table, food and water
arrangement) and directing the people to the right stall or right
person to get some specific help.
