A 2d recognition is of no use either, as pictures can be used. I remember seeing some folks at JPL(Jet Propolsion Labs, NASA) do some work using a 3d camera(depth perception) which did perform well. But this when i was working on my algorithm for face recognition as my final year thesis (around 2003-04). It took me almost 2.5 years to present my algo , which worked well only in a face image db. I can share some gyaan if someone is interested (from whatever i remember, but no one asks Qs :P ) -V- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
