HardDrive-120GB RAM-1GB Processor-AMD Turion 64 X2 Processor Battery-Lilon CD/DVD-8x Super Multi Drive Double Layer(8.5 GB) DVD Writer Display-14.1"WXGA TFT With Bright View Screen TechnologyI am trying to install Fedora 11 on my laptop. My CD-ROM is defective So I follwed this instruction http://gofedora.com/how-to-install-fedora-without-cd-dvd/ The only thing I did different was I did not mount /stuff on a different partition. Its on the same mount as "/' I have 4 Partitions. I already have Fedora 9 installed on /dev/sda1. Inside this partition in /stuff I have copied the files from Fedora 11 CD. Now in the grub when I choose fedora 11 installation. The installation halts at a particular step. Please find the preceding messages and the message at which it halts. sd 2:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk sd 2:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0 ata4: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) atkbd.c Unknown key pressed ( translated set 2, code 0x29 on isa 0060/serio0) atkbd.c Use 'setkekycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known. atkbd.c Unknown kkeky released( translated set 2, code 0x29 on isa 0060/serio0) atkbd.c Use 'setkekycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known. I tried to look it up on the internet. Most of the forums say that the issue happens in presence of wireless keyboard or mouse. I don't have a wireless mouse or keyboard. And none of them are in reference to installing. The solution provided is to make changes to init files. But I don't know how I can edit init files even before i have installed the system. Hope I have clearly put out the problem this time :) Anywork around for this ? Can you tell which files I need to edit ? And what changes needs to be done ?
