Your question is hard to answer without additional info from you. Did you connect the microphone to the rose pin or the blue pin? rose pin is for mic input and blue for line-in. http://www.audiotoolers.com/ubbt/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7799 You can try adjusting the volumes and gains of the input pins using alsamixer or whatever. You may have to unmute the inputs. You can install record(1) by Gerd Knorr or use the rec utility of sox. Instead you can also use # cat /dev/dsp > i.raw to record. It may work. Best of luck! You also have several UI recording programs in desktop apps suite in GNOME and KDE. -Girish -- Gayatri Hitech web: http://gayatri-hitech.com SpamCheetah Spam filter: http://spam-cheetah.com _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
