Hi all,
I'm using Arch Linux with GNOME.

I find that Gnome-Power-Manager does not update battery status at all
even several minutes after I remove power supply to my laptop. It says
"laptop battery charged 100%"
Do you see just the battery icon or the plugged in icon ?

On the contrary, acpitool is able to display the battery status as
"discharging" and then displays the percentage charge remaining..

Any insights or help? =)
Possibly a bug in your version on gnome-power-manager (the same or similar bugs are/have been reported for g-p-m on a regular basis). What is the g-p-m version on your system ? What happens when you restart g-p-m ? I'd suggest filing a bug against the arch linux g-p-m package.

cheers,
