Dear Members,

The Pycon India 2009 held recently at IISC, Bangalore was wonderfully organized
and our ilugc members Kenneth and Others had given wonderful Talks. The
registration fee was minimal. Food, T-shirt and CD's were given due to the
sponsors active contribution. FOSSEE group of IITB also distributed T-shirt and
LivePython DVD (Ubuntu). Only thing i found negative, it was ill-timed(festival
days).

I got the http://in.pycon.org link from ilugc mailing list. I sent the same to
my third year students yahoogroup . Nearly 28 students from my college
participated on their own. Of course hardly 12 of them were really serious
enough. Previously, when  ilugc arranged seminars/workshop on networks and
virtualization, hardly one student used to accompany me. Surely, there is winds
of change in my college.

Last year, I influenced my higher ups to  take FOSS elective subject. This year
we hope to take it again.

With regards,
