Could you copy/paste the exact invocation and error message ? Based on the info
you've provided, it seems like a problem is with the capabilities of the
terminal you are invoking gdb from rather than gdb itself.
For instance, on my system (Fedora 11) gdb is linked to libncurses, so I assume
it would require a ncurses capable terminal. So, please also mention the
terminal type that you are invoking gdb from.
