Did you add the repos through Yast or hand edit? Through Yast, the proper hostname and the repo tree therein is automatically added when you select the OSS or the non-OSS repos. e.g. the OSS repo looks like this: URL: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/ NB: download.opensuse.org redirects to a repo that is closest to your geo ip. It could be that the "mapped" server you got was busy or it the mirror is broken. Alternately, you can program to a specific repo, these are always updated and fast. http://mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/11.1/repo/ http://mirror.anl.gov/pub/opensuse/opensuse/distribution/11.1/repo (assuming you are using 11.1) HTH -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
