Hi,

I want to back up my gmail account mails to my local
debian box. Preferably something that can also save
gmail labels. I can setup squirrel mail to read-only
access the locally available email.

I have several thousand emails, and want something I
can run periodically to do incremental syncs in a time
and bandwidth efficient manner.

I tried using Thunderbird IMAP to create an offline copy,
but TB chokes miserably on large mailboxes. It also
repeatedly starts re-syncing the entire mailbox.

Google turns up several apps, and I'm confused on which
one to try.

Any advice on working solutions is much appreciated!
