$ mplayer foo.mp3 -loop 5
will play 5 times.
$ mplayer ba.ogg -loop 0
will keep on playing it till you go mad!
$ mplayer { rudram.ogg chamakam.ogg purushasuktam.ogg} -loop 3
will play the 3 songs in sequence 3 times.
