Hi, my thought about certificate is not like this, its true that many person who have certificate but doesn't have any knowledge.....Many people who has written certification exam are force to write because the companies are asking for that, especially freshers....
even i have seen many people who is experienced but doesn't have that much knowledge.....freshers are force to write certification exam not by their will but for getting job.....no body like to spend money for certificate, but during interview they have to compete the people.... even i m also against these certification, i m also a fresher and have done RHCE, after completing my certification i didn't find that my knowledge have increased in one day, i m studying Linux every day, finding the real time problems from ILUGC and then trying to implement it and finding the solution, linux is like that until u will not face problem, u cannot learn it properly or cannot understand why the problem has occur.... Linux is very vast, a fresher doesn't know from where to start and few people r there to help them in learning linux, doing free lancing is not easy for everyone.....My suggestion is that people should have to learn by their own interest and the companies those who r providing certificate in linux, should have to provide a good text, which should contain a brief explanation and shouldn't make the certification as business.. I also request ILUGC to come forward and to talk with universities, college and also diploma colleges to go with open source.....I also request knowledgeable person to come to forward to provide at least one day seminar in diploma and engineering colleges...... The problem is that many colleges doesn't have good staff to guide them, so many students are loosing their interest and many doesn't know abt open source... _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [email protected] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
