From the information provided till now, I am confused whether you are facing
problems building stellarium or launching it. I assume that the reference to the
script to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH is related to the instructions at the bottom of
this page:

is that correct ? If it is, please let us know:
a. Did you manage to build stellarim ?
b. If not what are the error messages you get ?
c. If yes, what is the problem with launching stellarium ? what are the error
messages you get ?
d. Did you try any of the alternative I mentioned (ie: re-building the fedora
RPM) ? If not, is there a reason why you do not want to try that ?
