Newbies come with different perceptions, and when they get the real hands-on experience, they realize this is not for them. Fair enough. Unfortunately, you don't get the time back that you spent with them. 2. Giving a tutorial is not a problem. There are plenty of good documentation available online, just a click away from a search. The problem comes when they lack the ability to comprehend, or seldom follow instructions _strictly_, and you also having to explain the tutorial to them -- which is really bad, IMO. Forcing people to do things also doesn't work, but, one can motivate or inspire people to do things. To answer your question, you could use this as a start, and customize it to your needs: http://shakthimaan.com/downloads/glv/presentations/gnubie.html Good luck, SK -- Shakthi Kannan http://www.shakthimaan.com _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
