Hello friends, I recently connected my laptop with BSNL 3g service.This is not the data card version which i am talking, a 256k 3g sim provided by BSNL for Rs.179. This pack has 25meg data usage free as a promotional offer. I connected the Mobile phone with laptop installed with Ubuntu 9.10.The speed is impressive when connect with Nokia Navigator 6110 mobile phone model. It said as 3.5g as the status. I am not sure, is this facility available throughout tamil nadu.
I find this is a good buy for a user category like me, since i work from my home and have a dataone fixed broadband connection which cost approx Rs850 a month, and buying a Data card my incur me an additional amount of Rs 700. where i sparingly browse on travel and needless to spend the data card of Rs 700/month, i find the prepaid version of BSNL is good as it cost me 1 rupee for 1 meg. But i am exploring the usage aspect, my Rx bytes showed me 18K and my Tx byte showed me 10K at the end of the session. I was surprised by a sms saying that i have used around 34K. I am just wondering how this mismatch is happening. I appreciate you guyz to share your experience on this.
